Dayana Pugliese the Italian model from Milan was working in Cannes for summer 2021 at Annex Beach along the famous Le Croisette.
We got together to shoot these pictures on an early evening in mid-September. We’d never worked together before and we shot these images in less than an hour.
I only shoot with natural light on location, it’s important to me that the pictures look as naturalistic as possible. I think flash separates the model to much from the background.
Both photographer and model need to bring an energy to a shoot and then harness it through the images. Dayana shines out of these images.. She’s quite extraordinary as you can see in these photos.
