When Austrailia Hits MIPCOM - Fashion Photographer Cannes, South Of France

Peita Breese is the Producer and Director of Australian television series, PERVERT, a show which follows the lives of five men as they navigate their way through their daily lives and relationships, while attempting to maintain their secret kinks. I worked with Peita on PERVERT as Associate Producer and Co-Director for the past two years as the series was shot at many locations across Australia’s New South Wales.

Peita and I attended MIPCOM in Cannes, The International Co-Production & Entertainment Content Market, in order to promote the PERVERT and various other film and television projects. Peita arranged for Carl Thomson to take a series of glamourous photos of us during our time in Cannes for the purpose of promoting our projects and attendance at MIPCOM.

Carl was a delight to work with. We walked the streets of the old part of Cannes near the castle, finding interesting façades, walls and streets. We took advantage of the stunning old stone and wood work in the architecture and the beautiful French character and charm of the location. Also a big shout out to the wonderful staff at Tredici Restaurant for letting us shoot there in the rain.

Carl was able to encourage Peita and I to find poses, positions and looks which displayed our true characters in a way that we found exhilarating and enjoyable.

The photos Carl has captured are stunning and alluring in a way I was not expecting. There is a power and charm that Carl was able to bring forth in both of us during the shoot. I am extremely impressed by Carl’s eye for nuance and personality, capturing a feeling in the moment to accompany the beautiful imagery.

I’d love to work with Carl again. I’d be eager to explore a range of styles and genres of photography with him now that I have seen how cleverly he is able to find and capture the soul of a moment in time.
